good quote, not sure where i got this...

“Games require skill. Running requires endurance,
character, pride, physical strength, and mental toughness.
Running is a test, not a game. A test of faith, belief,
will, and trust in ones self. So hardcore that it
needs a category all to itself to define the pain. When
game players criticize, it's because they have someone else to blame.
In running, you have only yourself to blame. Running is
more than a sport; it's a lifestyle. If you have to ask us
why we run, you'll never understand, so just accept.”

What running should be all about.

What is running? Its a vehicle to finding new things, discovering new places, meeting new people and experiencing nature in its splendid beauty. Kinda like this... thanks Nick.

track

Track season is nearing its end and its time to start thinking XC training over the summer. Here's the SECRET RECIPE for how to become a good XC runner. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN, then take a day off. Then RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN. Then take a day off. Then RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN. Then take a day off. What do you need? mental toughness and big goals. You don't need a ball or friends or a field or coaches or a hoop or a glove or special shoes or anything but determination.

also, meeting coming up soon, please attend. First GROUP RUN will be Thursday 6pm. I am going set a date of THURSDAY 6pm, all summer as its just easier to remember. Or, wait, maybe MONDAY is better?? anyone have any input? post comments here!
